Environmental Initiatives

CitiPower and Powercor have in place many initiatives to manage environmental risks and minimise our environmental impact.

These span activities directly related to running an electricity distribution network and other that impact on all areas on the business.

In 2012 we developed and published our Environmental Sustainability Strategy. Designed to support our Directions 2015 Five Year Strategic Plan, it outlines the vision, objectives and priorities to position us as an industry leader in sustainable environmental management.

Recent initiatives include our programs to minimise waste and increase recycling, to reduce greenhouse gases and to manage water use.
