Powering local business excellence

3 November 2014

The 2014 CitiPower & Powercor Business Excellence Awards season has come to a close, with 12 businesses across Victoria earning the title of CitiPower or Powercor 2014 Business of the Year for their region.

The awards are a significant event in local calendars, involving people from right across the community including retailers, manufacturers, service providers, farmers, local councils, and local business groups.

They are an inspirational, mixed group of people with one thing in common – they are passionate about their local community and are dedicated to seeing it thrive.

Our Business of the Year winners are stand-out examples of just what’s possible with belief in yourself and your region and a strong drive to make things happen.  They reflect the diversity of what Victoria has to offer, both locally and competing in the world export market.  Our 2014 winners included everything from food producers making olive oil and rearing barramundi, to a hostel with fantastic green credentials, and a family-run farm machinery business celebrating 50-years of operation.

Business awards were held in Melton, the Macedon Ranges, Geelong, Ballarat, Wyndham, Wimmera, Buloke, Southern Grampians, Bendigo, Colac Otway, Port Phillip, Warrnambool, and Shepparton.

CitiPower & Powercor were proud to play a role in each award ceremony, presenting the Business of the Year award and, just as importantly, meeting people that are leading the communities that we operate in and hearing what makes them tick.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the running the awards, and we look forward to seeing your communities continue the path to even greater excellence.
