If you are undertaking work that needs power to be isolated to our electricity distribution network, then you need to arrange a high-voltage isolation.

Planning the switching instructions needed to safely isolate the work areas is a detailed process. It involves careful coordination between our network control centre and the various project and field teams working nearby to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.

You can arrange a high-voltage isolation by completing the form below.  You will receive a confirmation email within two business days of submission


How long does it take to arrange a high-voltage isolation?

  • We require a minimum of 30 business days’ notice to be able to fulfill your request
  • Payment must be made before isolation date
  • We will accept long lead time applications up to six months in advance


What do I need to complete an application?

  • Applicant information (your personal information)
  • Customer information (for billing purposes)
  • Site address
  • Detailed information regarding purpose for isolation
  • Description of any prescribed works undertaken by a Registered Electrical Contractor (REC)
  • Preferred date and time of isolation
  • Preferred date and time of reconnection
  • Any attachments as necessary
