CitiPower is installing new underground power cables to support growth in the Kew area and enable more capacity in the growing local network.
Project Outcomes
Works
CitiPower is continuing to install underground power cable connections along Charles Street, College Place, and Glenferrie Road in Kew. These works follow on from previous work in the area in late 2024.
What to expect
- Electricity supply will be maintained, there are no planned outages during these works.
- Works will include digging up parts of the road to install and connect underground cables.
- Some of this work will be noisy.
- Lane closures and detours. Please follow signage and direction from traffic management.
Current work schedule:
Works will take place on selected dates in February and March 2025.
